Elisabeth Moore (Lis) is a Virginia licensed attorney and recent addition to Karen Robins Carnegie, PLC. She has litigated and settled cases in both civil and criminal areas of the law, having worked as a criminal defense attorney and in personal injury law. She was also the recipient of The Counselor at Law Award from Regent University School of Law for demonstrating a commendable level of skill in advocating, negotiating, and litigating on behalf of clients with a positive outcome.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Lis served honorably in the U.S. Navy and received an officer commission during her time in service. She completed nine deployments, including multiple tours in support of Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom. She retired from active duty as a Navy Commander and transitioned her leadership and teamwork skills seamlessly into advocating for clients.
Lis is excited to be joining the firm as an associate attorney and looks forward to the continued opportunity to serve the community in the areas of family law, probate, and other civil litigation matters.
Her education includes a BSBA from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia; MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California; JD from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia; U.S. Navy Executive Officer Training; Military Justice Course completion; and Air Traffic Controller School. She is also fluent in Spanish.
Lis is a member in good standing of the Virginia Bar Association, Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association, Chesapeake Bar Association, Federal Bar, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Phi Alpha Delta fraternity. Lis previously served as the President of the Hispanic Law Student Association at Regent University School of Law and Senior Editor for the Journal for Global Justice and Public Policy at Regent University School of Law.
