
Victoria “Vicki” Hewitt, Legal Assistant
Vicki was born and raised in West Virginia and graduated from Independence High School in Coal City. She moved to Virginia and earned an Associates of Applied Science from Tidewater Community College in 2009. Vicki has been married to her husband Robert for almost 29 years. Outside of the office, Vicki enjoys spending quality time with her family, friends and pets, especially being able to relax by riding her horses. Vicki began working with the firm in May 2017 as a legal assistant. Her primary areas of focus are family law matters and civil litigation.

Martina Whitley, Legal Assistant
Martina was born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia. She graduated from Hickory High School in 2018. Martina has a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology from Old Dominion University. She is headed to Appalachian School of Law in fall 2022 as a first-year law student, where she hopes to follow in her fellow colleagues' footsteps in becoming an attorney.
Martina joined the firm in August 2020. She works as a legal assistant, handling business entities, probate, GAL tax sales, and Guardian ad litem cases. She enjoys coming to work with the amazing staff that has welcomed her with open arms and for the constant new knowledge she gains every day. Outside of the office, Martina enjoys going to the gym and spending her weekends at the beach.

Jessica Westbrook, Legal Assistant
Jessica was born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia and graduated from Grassfield High School. She graduated from Tidewater Community College with an Associate's degree in paralegal studies and continued her studies at Liberty University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies. She married her fiancée, Chris Westbrook, on September 17, 2022. Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with family and friends, with her horses and reading a good book.
Jessica started working at the office in July 2021. As a legal assistant, she helps with estate planning and heir research.

Gracie Robins, Legal Assistant
Gracie was born and raised in Mechanicsville, Virginia and graduated from Atlee High School in 2019. Post-graduation, Gracie began attending Christopher Newport University where she is seeking a degree in Criminology with minors in Psychology and Philosophy of Law. Gracie plans on continuing her academic career by attending law school in the near future. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends at Lake Gaston.
Gracie began working at the firm in May 2022 as an intern. At the office, she spends most of her time assisting with probate and family matters.

Serving the area, Karen Carnegie and her staff work alongside one another with professionalism to prioritize the clients' best interests. I enjoy coming into the office and learning more about the legal system in ways that cannot be taught in a classroom setting.”

Samantha "Sam" Sweitzer, Legal Assistant
Samantha was born and raised in Virginia where she graduated in 2009 from Ocean Lakes High School. She went on to graduate from Tidewater Community College with an Associate's in paralegal studies. Samantha and her husband Dustin have been together for 14 years and have two sons. Outside of the office, Samantha enjoys family time, sports, reading, crafting and hanging out with her two dogs.
Samantha began working at the firm in August 2022 as the probate paralegal where she assists with estate administration from beginning to end.
